Mission Statement

The aim of the Yarnton Scout Group is to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as part of our local community, and as members of the national and international communities. We help young people develop skills for life.

The method of achieving the aim of the Group is by providing an enjoyable and attractive scheme of progressive training, based on the Scout Promise and Law, and guided by adult leadership. Fun and adventure is key to Scouting.

Yarnton Scout Group is constituted in accordance with the Rules of The Scout Association to provide Scouting in an area mainly consisting of Yarnton and Begbroke and surrounding areas, but we also accept young people from other areas e.g. Woodstock and North Oxford. We also have a co-located Explorer Scout Unit (Falcon ESU) and Network Scouts (Notnray Network)

We are supported under those Rules by the Oxford Spires Scout District and Oxfordshire County Scouts.

Yarnton Scout Group is an independent charity registered with the charity commission.
